Norwegian charter
On Saturday Cameron took out a boat full of Norwegian students. The weather again was perfect with flat calm seas and the sun shining. They had a look at castles and the stunning scenery in the Firth of Lorne. The weather looks to be changing this week for a wet start to February.
Shooting Party
Coastal Connection had a 2 day charter transferring shooters from Kingairloch Highland Estate to Ardencaple Estate for pheasant shooting. The weather was kind as the sea was very calm. Oban Youth Cafe
Coastal Connection had a private charter today with the Oban Youth Cafe. The weather was very settled with a calm sea state. On the trip they spotted porpoise and some guillemots shedding their winter plumage. They had a close look at Gylen Castle and the Fish farm where a young seal was swimming 4 metres from the boat. Students day out
On Wednesday Cameron and Struan had a boat full of students for a day out. It was a damp morning but the forecast came true as it cleared and the sun shined. They cruised up to Tobermory for a visit. On the return leg they spotted many porpoise in several different locations in the Sound of Mull. They had a wee glance of Ben Nevis looking up the Great Glen.
Last & First
Struan has been very busy over New Year. He started on New Years Eve with a Wildlife & Castle Trip for a party of Americans. The weather was overcast but the sun did pop out at times to brighten the day up. The group had a close look at how the fish farms operate and saw many of the great Castles in the area.
